Product: HP E24 G5 FHD Monitor
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

OS: Windows 11 version 24h2 The graphics card drivers are up to date. I have the following problems. I can't find an HP driver for the HP E24 G5. It simply runs as a generic monitor. HP Display Center installed from sp157944.exe cannot connect to this device.

HP Recommended

the monitor is not the problem as they do not require drivers

 

the video card or onboard video device do require drivers

 

windows 10/11 include a "BASIC" generic driver that allows

 

the detected video device to display a output, however to

 

enable the feature set of your installed video device a proper

 

video driver for windows 11 needs to be installed, however older

 

video hardware may not have win 11 (or win 10) drivers available

 

in which case a newer video card will need to be installed that does

 

have support for win 11
