Started to set up a Presence this Tuesday, left the updates to happen overnight and when I came in on Wednesday, the device was powered on but the control screen was black. The top light occasionally flashes red. This same light appears at a faster rate when the device isn't plugged into any compute. I thought maybe something happened during the update process that may have just been a fluke, but I started another one today and after the Windows updates it's doing the exact same thing.
Has anyone experienced this yet? I'm going to try rolling back the updates to see if that fixes the issue temporarily.

Hi @nramey3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
HP Presence Control is a software application that allows users to control their laptop's webcam and microphone using hand gestures. If you're having trouble with HP Presence Control, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Make sure your laptop is compatible with HP Presence Control. Check your laptop's specifications to see if it supports the feature.
- Ensure that your laptop's webcam and microphone are working properly. Check if you can use them in other applications such as Skype, Zoom, or any other video conferencing software.
- Check if you have installed the latest version of the HP Presence Control software. If not, download and install the latest version from the HP website.
- Ensure that your laptop's camera and microphone are turned on. You can do this by pressing the function key that corresponds to the camera and microphone, or by checking your laptop's settings.
- Make sure you are in a well-lit room, as HP Presence Control requires good lighting to detect hand gestures.
- Try using the HP Presence Control in a different environment. Sometimes, background noise or movements can interfere with the feature.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have 5 Presences currently working in our facility. They all connected without issue until the last one. We connected it up and it worked for a time and now, we are getting a red light on the top of the Presence. The 4th one that we put out and couldn't figure it out. Then we exchanged it for the 5th one and worked. Now the fifth one is not working. Is this due to updates, power, port. Please help!
