I recently acquired a ProDesk 405 G6 DM from work however it did not come with a WiFi card, so after buying one (Intel AX210), I realized there were no antennas pre-run in the PC either (I assumed it would have them like my old EliteDesk G4 DM did). After much searching, I bought an antenna kit from AliExpress without realizing it was for the SFF version of the 400 G6 and not the DM version (this thing: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007973826219.html).
Been searching all day and I can't find any compatible antennas for sale anywhere.

Can anyone point me at a place that sells them?
I'm located in Bulgaria (Europe) so interested in EU-based stores or others that do international shipping.

P.S. I already have a USB WiFi card, but I would much rather have something built-in and not sticking out of the PC.

I suggest that you install the card and make sure that it is recognized in the BIOS and device manager, because normally very few Intel Wi-Fi cards are supported in PC's with AMD processors.

Usually when someone installs an Intel AX210 in an AMD PC it does not work--antenna wires notwithstanding.

The parts list for this model has the antenna kit you need as well as the Wi-Fi adapter.

HP PartSurfer

M11548-001
SPS-ANTENNA DUAL INTERNAL ENT20 DM
L66872-001
WLAN 11ax 2x2 INT AX200NGW

The Intel AX200 part number I posted in the above discussion should work if you can't find the part listed in the parts list.

Thanks for the quick reply!

The AX210 definitely works, I actually have it installed right now and it even picks-up networks (with terrible signal due to the lack of antennas of course), the AX211 is the one that won't due to the CNVi CPU requirement, so that won't be a problem however...I mean maybe I have a wrong perception about this stuff but according to the HP PartSurfer, the 2 antennas are $72, that seems like a ridiculous amount for that (especially seeing how the ones I incorrectly got were like $15 and just have an incorrectly shaped metal bracket...maybe I can just break that off and use double-sided tape?).

Are there any 3rd party alternatives/compatible ones that could work? I mean I spent about the same amount on the PC itself (just shy of $100), makes it really hard to justify that $72.

You're very welcome.

Glad the AX210 works.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where you can find the antenna kit because it is on backorder and yes, ridiculously expensive and yes, for a few dollars/Euros more you can just buy a DM with built in Wi-Fi.

Perhaps you can contact one of HP's authorized suppliers at the link below and see if they can locate the antenna kit for you.

I couldn't find any on eBay.

The HP Parts Store | HP Computer Parts | HP Printer Parts | HP parts | hp batteries | SSD | printhea...

That's why I bought the USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter for my 800 G3 DM.

I bought the PC on eBay for $65 USD and the listing and even the HP product number indicated it came with built in Wi-Fi.

I contacted the seller, and the seller (one of those PC recycling companies) apologized and gave me a $20 credit, so the PC only cost me $45.

I actually have a USB WiFi card (TP-Link Archer TX50UH), but was hoping I can have this PC as an all-in-one box I can just carry in this nice carrying case it came with when I travel. I actually registered in the HP parts store and it seems even if I wanted to order it, it's out of stock so...guess there's that (and seems like cheaper prices from resellers are not a thing either, cheapest I found it was $70).

Oh well, guess I'll wait and hope in a year or two Chinese parts start showing up, if I don't get a refund on the antennas I accidentally bought, I'll try the janky way and see if that works.

Thanks again for the pointers! 🙂

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

If the antenna wires you got are not too ridiculously long, you may be able to figure out a way to install them in your PC.

Coil them up, zip tie them somehow...there's gotta be a way to get them to work.

Just make sure the transceivers don't touch any components on the motherboard.
