Guys - nothing on this SSD indicates any performance issues but it's about 5 years old. There is very little read/writes to this SSD as it's a Blue Iris video surveillance system with all I/O going to the connected 8TB spinning hard drive. I've opened a case with Crucial as well and saw some other threads stating they used the SSD for years after this error without issue

1) If the system fully fails, that's fine by me as I can rebuild it. However, during a power loss when I'm on vacation, the system won't come up by itself. I need to be physically present to hit Enter at the Smart Hard Disk check error. Is there a BIOS setting to ignore such errors and just continue booting?

2) Do you think my SSD is failing? If there's no way to tell if it'll be months or years, I rather run it to the ground but need help with no.1 - any crazy hack to press Enter would also do

Thanks

no, most systems do not allow bypassing a critical error msg found on power up

time is money, and the cost of rebuilding a system that fails at a inconvenient time

vs the time to replace the SSD (and also resolve the boot error)

makes the decision to replace the SSD a easy one in my opinion

From what I can tell in the specs sheet, my HP ProDesk 600 G2 SFF computer has a PCIe card and not an m.2 port. What's an inexpensive 256GB SSD you'd recommend I buy? Thx

the ssd choice is up to you as is a warranty so it's your choice on what things matters

it ranges from name brand with warranty

to noname with suspect to no warranty to used

or new OEM ssd's which again can range from no warranty to seller warranty
