Hi, I've a HP Proliant ML350 G6 and i want to know something, I have a RAID 5 on 3 300 GB HHD (certified) and i want to upgrade one of them to a 1TB HDD (certified too 🙂 ), is that possible ?? And one of my HDD is dead, what's the step to replace it (he is in the 1st slot (or the 0 slot if you prefer)), can I just place another HDD in the same slot or in a different one ? Thanks
Merci

wrong company, for servers you want HP Inc (not HP, which is this companies forum)
next the ML380 series came with quite a few raid options and while most raid cards can allow you to upgrade the drive size in Realtime via drive swap/rebuild the lower end raid cards did not
i strongly recommend that you read up on how to manage a raid array

Hi @Joseph_AZE
You can always use disks of different sizes in a RAID 5 but the total capacity of the RAID will be given by the smallest size disk, in your case when replacing with a 1 TB you will lose 700 GB of the RAID array.
