Hello!
I installed a new wifi card in my t510 thin client. It appears it does not accept the specific card I used. I suspect a bios whitelist.
Is there a way to get rid of the whitelist or at least a list of compatible wifi cards?
Thank you!

Hi:
The only model Wi-Fi adapter that was supported in the model series is what is listed in the specifications.
HP t510 Flexible Thin Client Product Specifications | HP® Support
I tried to find a part number for the card and was unable to.
The PC probably does have a BIOS whitelist (no one I know of can help you with removing the whitelist), so I recommend that unless you can find the exact HP part number for the Atheros card, use a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter instead if you are running Windows on the PC.
The partsurfer website is of no help. Every model I checked does not list the Wi-Fi adapter part number.
You can try entering your PC's serial number in the search window and see if it provides additional information.

The t510 has a Mini-PCIe 1x Slot.
due to HP whitelisting the wifi cards, only HP branded cards using the Atheros 802.11a/b/g/n chipset(s) will work
the slot is a half-size mini-PCIe one
these should work, i recommend you be upfront with the seller and tell him the situation on finding a working card and see if a return is ok if it fails to work in the t510

you will also need a laptop internal antenna kit with connectors that match the wifi card connectors

personally, i would just use a USB based wifi card as previously mentioned
