Thanks for the response however I have no connection to the internet and I have a .xar file for vmware horizon view 2111 however It seems to want to go to the internet to connect to a server to actually download.  I am on a closed network and am running HP thinpro 7.2 which does not have the 2111 version of the view client.  HP does not seem to have a complete thinpro OS with that version and that is where I am stuck.  We normally download the thinpro OS and we are able to install them however, I cannot find one available for download.  If anyone has some better way of accomplishing this on a closed network I would appreciate the assist

Thanks again

@McBrien,

I suspect that one way or another, you'll need internet access.

Couldn't you connect your PC to the internet using a USB Wi-Fi dongle?

Hello McBrien,

HP has released  thinpro-vmware-horizon-view 2111-8.4.0-18957622hp1-61463 for ThinPro 7.2. Please download this to flash drive. On the Thin client, login into Root/Admin and connect the flash drive. you will get the popup prompt to install . just click through it to complete the installation. HP would recommend you to install the files released by HP since they have been tested.

In-case you still want to run the terminal commands to install the .xar file please follow the below commands in Xterm:

fsunlock

xarinstall /tmp/name_of_addon
fslock

If your file is in a flash drive, you will find the name of flash drive under /mnt/
