Hi I have a HP Z4 G4 Xeon (4LF13EC#ABU) with the following disk configuration
1 x MVME
2 x 6tb in a RAID 1 configuration Seagate hard disk (SATA ports 0 and 1)
1 x 6tb Seagate hard disk
No issue with the MVME (3533 MB/s read 2076 MB/s write)
No issue with the stand-alone 6tb Seagate (224 MB/s read 220 MB/s write)
However, the RAID 1 pair of 6tb Seagates has very poor performance (68 MB/s read 5 MB/s write)
It is taking more than a day for the drives to initialize yet I see no disk activity to suggest this is actually working on it
I don't think there is a fault with the disks as I get expected performance when used as separate drives and not in a raid configuration
Seagate tools also does not report any errors
Are there any configuration changes I can make to improve performance?
Is this a driver issue?
Are there any logs I can read to discover what is causing the poor performance
any advice or support on helping me resolve this performance issue would be gratefully received
