Hello,
I got a Z400 Workstation from a friend, so we could use it as a server. When he tried it, he got in the BIOS and had no problem at all. When I tried to turn on the PC at home there was a single beep and after ten seconds another beep. And then nothing happens. The fans do still spin and no more beeps after that. Did anyone encounter this problem as well, and what was the solution to that? Thanks in advance
PS, when I removed the rear fan there was a single beep and again after ten seconds there were now two beeps. Same with the CPU fan but now with 3 beeps after the said ten seconds

Page 134-137 of the Maintenance and Service Guide list beep and LED codes. I did not see a code for single beep.
do not remove any boards or memory unless the system is unplugged from outlet.
touch the metal case before touching any memory stick.
I have had several Z400 and suspect that something got jarred loose when moving from your friend to your location
What video board? Is it seated fully in the PCIe socket. Get a flashlight and look closely.
If 6 or 8 pin power on graphics make sure cable is connected properly.
Remove memory sticks and reseat them.
Hope this helps.
