HP Z620

I have purchased HP Z620 with E5-2660 and quadro 2000. Yesterday, I was working, the computer fans are slightly loud.Suddenly the screen turns black and cpu gives 4 beeps. I restart it but this time also it gives red light and 4 beeps. All the fans including gpu fan are not spinning.

Hi @_zayn_

This error is usually the power supply, I recommend first make a reset, remove the CMOS battery and then put it back and test, if it does not work it is better to check the power supply by a technician to see if it is damaged.

I pressed the CMOS button for 5 seconds and then started the PC, but, like before, it gave 4 beeps

these HP workstations support a builtin power supply self test (BIST) run it to see if it's indeed a power supply issue the z620 service manual should cover the procedure

per a previous  "SDH" post on the z620

Disconnect the PSU power from the Z620 motherboard, then switch on the PSU. The fan in the PSU should spin up and a solid green LED should illuminate. You will need to view the PSU from the rear of the Z620 to see the LED.

Hi @_zayn_

as you indicated in your first message “red light and 4 beeps” that indicates the power supply is damaged, see the following video.

I tried built in test for power supply, the green light is illuminating and psu fans are spinning which indicates psu is fine. When I disconnect the 4 pin connector all fans are spinning. So I think problem is with processor
