HP Z8 G4 RCTO Base Model Workstation
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a pre-owned Z8 a few weeks back, and I feel the machine is not as stable as my Z840 was. Especially after upgrading. Today I installed a 2nd NIC (2 port 10GB X550) and a nvme adapter with 1tb samsung 970 evo. The CPU usage went to 100% resulting in a almost unresponsive system. Before (with only a 560 SFP+ card, and a no-name firewire card) it was fine (or super). I use a RTX a4000.

When I got it it was also a bit unstable, and had some ram issues (wrong seating, different types, and I found a hair under a module ;-), but removing and reseating modules of 1 type and all was good.

What I find a bit surprising is that I have bios 2.85, while only 2.82 is listed....

Can I save the current bios somehow? I would like to check if 2.82 is better for me.
