I recently bought two Z800 workstations out of boredom. My intention was to look for a cheap hobby that would be a hassle for me because hobbies are now very expensive in the geography of Turkey and the cost has gone off the rails.
After three or four days of cleaning and struggling, I got one of the workstations back on its feet.
There was a problem while starting at the other station. As I mentioned above, we have started a hobby with a problem partner, so I started to investigate the source of the problem.
Knowledge is power. There is so much tremendous information here that I found myself reading other topics out of curiosity. It's like a kind of therapy, I hope this therapy lasts a long time...
Let's come to our subject, I made sure that the station that did not start in question was the PSU. Because I bought two stations.
In general, it is thought that the PSU should be disconnected from the case and connected to the power, the green led and the fans should rotate, and if these are happening, the PSU is intact. In the PSU I have the problem with, both of these factors are working (Green led is on + fans are spinning).

The valuable information in the link was also a light for me. I would also like to thank the friend who made this post if he reads here.
In fact, I stuck to the original voltage value in the capacitor (10 V). I also changed two capacitors. Of course, it is necessary to be careful while doing all this. It is necessary to discharge the current in the capacitors before starting work (High voltage danger). I am expressing this because I have experience in electronic infrastructure. I ask friends who are not prone to this work not to attempt this work themselves.
As a result, the problematic PSU has started to work now. Let's see how long it will continue to be healthy.

if you prowl the used parts forums regularly you will note that it usually has distinct phases in regards to computer hardware
first phase the part is available but rather pricey
second phase the part is widely available and quite cheap
third phase part is hard to find and pricey (this is where the z800 is currently for most parts)
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Workstation-Switching-DPS-1050DB-508149-001/dp/B00V1W1ZH8
fourth phase part is nonexistent for all reasonable searches and only available (sometimes) when bought as part of a assembly
HP z800 parts are now in the last phase no longer really available as separate items and rarely as a complete system
your only option at this point in time is to recap the existing supply and hope no other parts in the system are also damaged
you can also use a normal ATX power supply with a adapter and move the motherboard into a atx compatible tower case

@DGroves
Thank you very much for your interest and the good information you have given.
Yes, although such structures are about to expire and finding parts is troublesome, I actually bought it just for fun. After getting my enthusiasm, I give it to my friends and relatives (of course, it is not good to get too used to it 😊)
In addition, when buying such old equipment, I usually try to buy a double set so that if one of them is troublesome, I can take advantage of the other spare.
Best regards...
