Hi bro,

My Z820 was very noisy at beginning, fan speed quite high even BIOS setting at the lowest level.

From my experience, the hp BIOS is not really reliable or something like that. Sometime setting not effective.

So I decided to reset CMOS, modified and save (by F10) for any single setting in BIOS to make sure the setting really effective. Then it's works. Now the machine run very quietly. Hope this help.
