Please help me with the following problem, my HP ZBook Fury 16 G9 Mobile Workstation PC ([personal info removed]) laptop does not work with the HP Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2, the light above the dock does not work either, are they not compatible? the bios is updated and the Thunderbolt box is checkedphoto_2024-08-31_10-47-56.jpg

per the HP "quickspecs" this mobile workstation officially supports the HP Thunderbolt 280 W G4 Dock

 

your older TBolt dock is not a officially HP supported hardware configuration, and as such may not be compatible (which appears to be the case here)

did you manage to get this working? 

 

I would really like to get a dock for my Fury 16 G9 but the 280w G4 recommended one is just ridiculously expensive, feel a bit embarrassed asking my employer to get me one at £340.

 

I was hoping one of the older docks will still be able to supply the required power and work ok???
