HP Recommended

I would like to buy a HP workstation in the Z4 or Z6 serier preinstalled with windows server. I bought a Z4-G5 recentely preinstalled with Ubuntu and was very happy with the specs, performance and price. Do HP offer customized specs? If not which workstation would be most suitable for myself to install a windows server os?

workstations as a rule DO NOT COME WITH SERVER OS's

 

so if you want this configuration you will have to find a local shop willing to either sell and install the OS without any official support from HP

 

or buy the system from HP (and get a warranty) and have a 3rd party install the server OS

(which is unlikely to have any warranty support)

 

bottom line, unless you are qualified to support this hardware/software configuration yourself, then you really need to look into buying a lowend server that will have vender support
