random shutdowns can have multiple causes
have you run the power supply "BST" test? if no do so how to do this can be found in the z800 service manual
are you using the correct power supply? the stock 850 watt unit is not suitable for 130 watt (or more) dual cpu's and a 230 watt video card with 8 or more sticks of ram you need 1125 watt power supply (which you state you have)
gaming puts much more stress on a system than benchmarking or idling are you overclocking the video card? if so return to stock
you need to monitor the CPU/GPU temps while gaming using the HP software or a 3rd party one like afterburner, addia64

whats an bST test?
yea im using correct psu 1100 watts
how can a game put more stress on the parts if a benchmark is more optimized to pull more out of the hardware? and higher demanding??
all temps are prety on the safe side nothing gets to hot...

when you are told to READ THE HP SERVICE MANUAL to learn how to perform a "bst" test PLEASE FOLLOW THOSE DIRECTIONS
a static benchmark program will only test one section of a system at a time,..running a game will put the entire system under high stress at the same time if it's modern game like battlefield or crysis
last a full reinstall of windows can resolve software related issues

IM ASKING YOU WHAT BST MEANS!
Moost older games are written with crappy code that wont take full advantage of CPU/GPU
i can even run rainbow six siege for hours fine. but if i run metro last light i crashes as soon i get to a certain place
