Hey, Im running HPDM 5.0 SP1 on Windows server 2016,
Im trying to deploy an image to my t420 and t430.

../../Task/linux/ImageTask_Thinpro.cpp@376: The HPDM Agent does not support ThinPro5.2+ imaging.
when trying to update the agent on the client I get the following error:
2020-03-01 11:58:11 [Error Details]: Copy files using repository ******.
Failed to download replace to /tmp from /Repository/Agents/HPThinPro5.

What else can I do in order to remotely deploy thin pro 7 on 5.2 ?

Are you using https? The old ThinPro5 Agent maybe does not support https. You need set a FTP server to update Agent.
The ability to upgrade TP5 to TP7 depends on hardware support and hard drive size.
My opinions are my own and do not express those of HPI.

Im using HTTPS, FTP and SMB, Ive tried each one separately but with the same result.

Upgrading through DOK works just fine but upgrading 300+ station scattered along our facility is less appealing .
