A problémámról levelet írtam a HP magyarországi képviseletének: crt.hungary@hp.com (2024.10.14)
A szerviztől a következő választ kaptam:
Hova fordulhatok a probléma megoldásához?
Kérem segítsen a megoldásban.
Köszönöm: jucyka

Jucyka,
Welcome from us, those who do not speak Hungarian. With thanks to Google Translate here is what you wrote:
Hello community, Please help!
I bought an HP Z1 G9 workstation in Hungary (March 01, 2024). I wanted to expand the machine with two 3.5" HDDs and one optical drive. I experienc now that the desired devices could not be mechanically fixed in place! I wrote a letter about my problem to the HP Hungarian representative: crt.hungary@hp.com (2024.10.14).
When I then inquired by phone, they said that they could not help, that I should contact HP service. After that I wrote a letter to ugyfelszolgalat@delta.hu (DELTA SYSTEMS KFT) service. I received the following response from the service: "There is no manufacturer's part number for the requested product, so it cannot be ordered either commercially or through service. I suggest you take it back to where you bought it because more than likely you didn't get the right device." After that, I wrote to the sales company: info@usanotebook.hu> (USANotebook). They came to a similar result as the service!
My question: Where can I turn to in order to solve this problem? Did I buy a workstation that cannot be expanded with an HDD and optical drive? When I bought it, no one informed me that the cables were included inside the machine (Power and SATA), but that the parts themselves had to be affixed with foam, glue, or a frame designed by me!
Please help me with the solution.
Thanks, Jucyka
Well, that is poor service indeed, but you may have created the situation. Attached below is an English version of the HP QuickSpecs for this computer, from 9/24, for reference. Perhaps you can find a Hungarian version? I assume it is a Tower computer... sometimes there are multiple form factors.
A good way to start is to look at YouTube. Even if you can't understand the language the videos can be very valuable. Try:
https://youtu.be/Dng1WNAh2S4 This is from HP and at 14 seconds in it shows the topics. Optical drive starts at 50 seconds in. Hard drive cage info starts at 3:33 in.
Another is https://youtu.be/XX26pY6FXME
Your mistake may have been to order the computer without the optical and two HDDs installed to save some money. There can be specially made HP mounting parts for both the 3.5" hard drives and the optical drive that can be very hard to find when the computer is newer, like yours. Later odd parts become easier to find when the retired computers get parted out. Your HDD mounting cage does not appear to have the narrow horizontal cutouts that I'm familiar with. Below is a picture of the type of 3.5" HDD metal/rubber sliders HP has used in the past to fit in narrow cutouts.... those for a HDD use an imperial #6 screw. 2.5" HDDs and SSDs use M3 metric screws instead (with black rubber cushions instead of blue).
I think you may also need the green HP plastic part shown in the two added pictures that clips into the optical bay slot inside... look at the HP video.

Good luck on your project...

Jucyka,
My Korean is just as bad as my Hungarian, but this video gives you excellent added perspective on use of your metal drive cage even if you don't understand Korean too. It is for a different HP computer but the ideas are the same:
