Hi Community,

Can anyone help me - I am working on a large scale cyber security project and we have a lot of old Elite 8000 & 8300 models still in use (yes I know, ancient).

I really, really desperately need the End of Life (EOL) and End of support (EOS) dates for both the Elite 8000 & 8300 models, can anyone please help me to confirm these dates? I have tried HP support, some inside connections at HPE (unfortunately these models aren't HPE associated), trawling the internet and googling for hours but I just cannot find the info anywhere.

Many, many thanks

Hi:

I don't believe that you will find that information anywhere.

I know for the HP consumer desktop and notebook PC's HP quits supporting them with manuals and drivers after the model series reaches 10 years of age.

For the HP business desktop and notebook PC's the support length is considerably longer.

For example, they still have the support pages up for the HP d530. which is an ancestor of the 8000 Elite.

The d530 was introduced to market in 2003.

The HP 8000 Elite was introduced to market in late 2009 and the 8300 Elite in 2012.

So, you have several years of driver support for those models left based on the foregoing.

You can see if contacting the HP executive team at the link below will result in a definite answer to your question.
