They're WD Black drives, certified for RAID with 2 drives as per this document: https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=996
There's no telling what happened. My computing environment has been through Hades this week. I'm shocked anything is working and wondering what's going to happen next. This domain workstation and my SBS 2011 server both died of mainboard failures on Monday. I only had one spare board so I fixed the workstation. Still waiting on a recap of the server board (if that's even the problem).
The RAID rebuilt successfully, btw.
Now all I have to do is try to figure out how/whether I can fix a corrupted .ost file without Exchange.
Sheesh...

Update:
As a testimony to the ease of replacing a failed HDD with this particular card, there's no need to configure anything in the LSI BIOS after replacing the drive. It's all automatic.
Just install your new drive and the LSI card will do the rest.
