Z220 CMT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Cooler on my video-card did too much noise so I have to replace or repair it. But since my PC is business one, all stuff is connected not by old good small screws but green plastic things. I am ashamed but I can not even pull out my card.

What should I do to deinstall it in proper way?9a42401a-e345-4f38-a9d4-6e934ef6ab9a.jpg513f16d9-4fd9-48e5-a9c2-69ef407ff141.jpg

the Z220 CMT

the manual for this PC covers this job. (act)

yes, it s non standard way  this , HP OEM way.

the Jbrackets on my Z600 uses plastic hinge toy,  that pinches and releases the hinge , and all cards At once.

the pinch locks are GREEN see on the rear. both must be unlocked. (rule#1)

lets now go to your surport page first to find them manual and I will show the page number.

click manuals

click service guide ,193 pages and its JUST NOT THERE< page 80 should but DOES NOT.

so we find what other did (looking for photos for you)

push locks from inside and they rotate to the rear.  and unlocks the PCI-e cards all at once.

I see you are worried about the 16x PCI slot lock well all LP's have that, and is a lock you move the lock with a finger

and then pull the card (after locks in the video above.

then unlock this card, this is standard the card 16x slot lock and never force the card out. or you will damage.

NO warranty answers by me.

on the green tab, push the longer one away from the video card (towards the shorter one), then gently pull upward on the videocard using a slight rocking motion lengthwise and the card will disengage from the pci-e slot

note the space between the two green tabs? when you push the longer tab towards the smaller one that space is compressed

to reinstall, simply reinsert the card into the slot with the cards metal end flush against the metal of the case, no need to touch the green tab, it will auto engage
