Hope someone here can provide me with the way how to reset my administrative password security for the BIOS of my preloved HPE Microserv(er) Gen8.
I have no issue (anymore) loggin into my iLO4 webbased admin but I do run into issue with the BIOS.
I must have set the BIOS Security Password many times over but when the machine prompts and I fill in the set password it ignores it and asks me twice to enter the password.
I initially purchased this Microserv to replace my aging HP ML110 Gen5 server which runs Windows 2008R2. I no longer plan to patronize Doc. "follow the science" vaccine fetish Bill Gates and go full Linux with either FreeNas, CentOS 8 or some other Linux Distro to run this Microserver. I had plans (had.. as if this does not work I will try to do it on a HP ML350 Gen8 machine) to also install the new Linux OS on a Samsung 850 Pro SSD (2,5 inch) drive via de ODD port.
(Not very succesful yet)

Hi:
HP split into two companies several years ago.
HP supports printers, PC's, tablets and calculatiors.
HP Enterprise (HPE) supports servers, switches, routers and enterprise storage.
On this forum, we are prohibited with assisting folks with removing BIOS passwords--ref 4d. of the rules of participation below.

There is probably a jumper on your server's motherboard that would allow you to clear the password.
I recommend that you post your question on the HPE community support forum -- Proliant Netservers section...
