I own Hp Z400 Intel xeon w3503, due to low processing power changed it to w3680 since my bios supports it. then i started getting this error whenever i start the pc 517 a low powered heatsink for high power cpu. Guessing if i have to change my mainstream cooler which should i choose for my z400 workstation that also supports the 475psu installed in it and also support my motherboard. or is there any way to solve the error without it.

if you had used this sites "search" feature or even google with the keywords " hp z400 high performance fan"
here's one such discussion on this subject
i recommend looking on ebay or amazon using the part numbers below
HP Z400 High Performance Heatsink Fan 463981-001 / 538042-001
this uses the 5 pin fan header to tell the motherboard/bios that a high performance fan is installed

Agree. The "Performance" version is what you need. It is best found and most reasonably priced via an eBay search for the part number 463981-001, filtered for lowest price including shipping. The best current price 7/20 is $12.00, USD, including shipping. Not bad.....
The Z400 has more than enough space for a hot processor and a corresponding larger Performance (rather than smaller Mainstream) heatsink/fan, and most of the Z400 workstations were sold with that nice big heatsink (and thus they are easy to find and cheap to buy). It is the Z600 that is cramped for space, and yet has two sockets. The Performance heatsinks for those are rare and expensive. They would be a big waste of money to use in a Z400. Either of the two Z400 Performance heatsinks are equivalent and fine to buy. However, there are some HP heatsinks being sold that are incorrect for the Z400 Performance level.... don't fall for that. They have 2 instead of the correct 3 heatpipes, and the correct ones are below:
Older, better, metal
Newer, same performance more plastic
