I'm completely new to setting up a PC I'm not entirely sure whats going on. Ive tried rebooting, changing the boot order for the HDD, and I have no idea where the PXE-E61 Cable thing is that its asking me to fix, and it always ends with the "Non-system disk or disk error"

The Z420 is still a very good workstation especially if it is a version 2. You can read up on how to tell if you have a version 1 or a version 2. However, my suggestion for you is to take your Z420 to a good computer shop and have them install the latest W10Pro 64 bit OS for you after doing a BIOS upgrade to the latest version.

 

You don't want to become a computer expert... you just want it to work. Many of us here have spent many hours on mastering these workstations. If you lived down the street I could happily update it for you... but not via the forum.
