Laptop screen go dark while using it.

Purchase Receipt

 

If you purchased the device from HP Store, you would have received email confirmation of the order and payment method used to secure the purchase.

 

  Store/HP.com USA Sales

  Not your HP store?  Scroll to the bottom of the website and click the Flag to change regions.

Many regional stores have a customer service site within the main website.

 

What else?

If you purchased the computer from OTHER than the HP Store, contact the merchant from whom purchased the device.

 

More documentation might have been included on the box itself (in which the device was shipped), possibly in the form of a shipping receipt attached to the box, inside, or maybe even glued to the box somewhere.

 

If you used your purchase information to register your computer with HP, that much of the information is reflected in the Warranty information - though admittedly, it is very unlikely there is any copy of a receipt anywhere.

 

Finally, you can contact HP Support.

 

HP Support might not have the purchase information you seek but it is worth the effort to ask.

Reminder:

If you did not even purchase the device from HP, they will not have any record of the direct sale of the particular device.

 

What else?

 

If the purpose of your question is to request service,

If the device was registered, HP does have a record of that registration / warranty.

 

If the computer is in Warranty,

You can submit your case to HP Support for service using the serial number of the device.

  • Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
  • Enter the Serial Number and Country for one or more devices / systems to be checked
  • Check the box to verify you are "Not a robot"
  • Click Submit (at bottom of list entries)
  • When the page opens, Click View Details

 

NOTE: The online database results do not impact the actual contract.
