HP Z220 SFF
Hello, I am looking to buy p.h
a HP Z220 SFF i7-3770 3.4GHz 8GB DDR3 SSD 200GB DVD-RW Realtek HD ALC221 computer.

1. Question: Can I easily install a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system
on this computer without having problems with it later?

2. Question: Which operating systems can I use on this computer, too?
3. Question: Can I burn / record on Blu-rays with the optical drive
on this computer, as well as burn / record DVDs and burn / record CDs besides playing? Yours sincerely ( A. Canfora )

Hi:

Your PC will support W7 64 bit > W10 64 bit as you can see by the driver page below:

HP Z220 Small Form Factor-Workstation Software- und Treiber-Downloads | HP® Kundensupport

You will not be able to play or burn Blu-Ray disks because the PC only has a DVD-RW drive.

You will be able to play/burn DVD's and CD's.

W10 does not come with DVD playing software so you will need to install DVD software if you have it, or the free VLC media player from the Microsoft Store if you do not.

VLC - Microsoft Store Apps

Below is the link to the HP Quickspecs for the z220 SFF.

It has a significant amount of information regarding the PC:

the HP z240 SFF/Minitower models are being sold on Ebay for around 80/120 dollars and are a much better value than the older z220 as the z240 has native NVME support, better memory subsystem PCI-e 3.0 to name some of the improvements

i personally recommend the Minitower z240 models as they can use full height video cards unlike the SFF models which can only use low profile cards
