HP z4 g4
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Because my company wants to replace HP Z440 workstations with HP Z4 G4 workstations, I have to install our WES 7 OS X86 on a HP Z4 G4 workstation, but the OS crashed with a blue screen when the workstation just booted. I think this happened because our WES 7 OS does not have drivers of Z4 G4 workstation. Therefore, I tried to create a WES 7 OS X86 for the HP Z4 G4 workstation using Microsoft Image Build Wizard (IBW) X86 as I had done for HP Z440, but IBW hang  right after showing the Build an Image option (button) and I could not use my mouse or keyboard to click on the button. If someone knows how to fix these problems, please show me. Thank you in advance.

Hi:

The reason the KB and mouse don't work is because W7 does not contain the required USB 3 drivers to install.

Also there is no USB 2 support until after the operating system is installed and the chipset drivers are installed.

The PC comes with PS/2 ports so use a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to install W7.

I tried to use the tool WindowsImageTool to put the USB 3 drivers into my flash drive WES 7 OS X86 installer,  but I failed. This is because after selecting the option None - Add USB drivers for the Source Path and G:\ (Removable Disk) - 9.9 GB Free for Destination Path (USB Drive) which contains my WES 7 Image  and then I clicked the Start button, I got a the GIGAYTE message box containing "The boot.wim file was not found". I think the tool looked for the boot.wim image in my OS, but it did not see this because WES 7 does not have this file. Do I have a way to tell the utility tool not to check this file?

Unfortunately, I do not.

If you haven't tried a PS/2 KB and mouse that should work because W7 has the drivers for those.

Just let you know I can use the PS/2 KB port if I use a PS/2 KB. Previously I used a USB KB with PS/2 adapter. Therefore, I did not see the KB worked when I typed Enter to boot from my IBW for building WES7. Although I could use the PS/2 KB to launch the IBW, the IBW Window still hang. If you know how to solve this problem, please tell me. Thank you.
