Example:HP ProDesk 600 G6 MT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What changes need to be made in the BIOS to allow the installation of an Nvidia Quadro NVS290 graphic card?

We have successfully installed the same card in the 600 G5 SFF model by disabling SecureBoot and enabling Legacy Support.

However we can not find the right combination of settings on the 600 G6 CMT model to allow us to boot with the old graphics card installed.

HP does not list older video cards as supported and keep in mind the max wattage is only 75 watts (no GPU Aux pwr connector)

note that the internal Intel UHD630 is faster than the nvs290 card and lacks directX 12 support, as such there is no real reason to use it

Internal

Intel UHD Graphics 630 (for 10th gen Core i7/i5/i3 processors and Pentium Gold G6600, and G6500)
Intel UHD Graphics 610 (for Pentium Gold G6400)

Discrete (HP approved)

AMD Radeon R7 430 2 GB Graphic card 2 DP
AMD Radeon R7 430 2 GB Graphic card DP and VGA
AMD Radeon RX 550X 4 GB Graphic card DP and HDMI
AMD Radeon 520 1 GB Graphic card DP and VGA
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB Graphic card DP, HDMI, and DVI-D

The only reason we are trying to use the old card is to keep the ability to use dual VGA connections.

When the card is installed the PC beeps 3.3 (3 long, 3 short) which I believe is a graphics memory issue.

I believe the maximum power drawn by the card is only 21 watts.

replace card with KNOWN GOOD CARD
