HP Z4 G4 workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

we have installed new windows 10 in new workstation in our origination. workstation has a secondary internal hard disk 1TB.

we have McAfee anti virus to block the USB disk drives. its also blocking the internal hard disk. so we check with the security team they told the internal hard disk connected as USB or portable drive so only its blocking .so, how to change  that in bios to not connect as a portable device.??

Huh?......what you have posted makes no sense!!!!

USB devices use a completely different driver than a  "SATA" HD driver so if mcafee is set to block any devices using the "USB DRIVER" it will NOT also block devices using the SATA driver unless you also tell it to do so

please post a screenshot of the "device manager" showing what is connected to any storage devices listed below

Disk Drives shows any solid state drives, hard disk drives or SD card/memory stick slots on your computer.

IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers determines your hard drive’s behavior.

Storage Controllers are for your hard drives and other storage devices

Universal Serial Bus Controllers are for your USB ports
