I have been referred to setting "hot swap" in the BIOS.
I have searched but not found it.
Does such a setting actually exist?
It pertains to utilizing this device:
KOSINGNA Dual Bay 3.5" 2.5" Inch SATA III Hard Drive HDD & SSD Tray Caddy Internal Mobile Rack Enclosure Docking Station with USB 3.0 Port Hot Swap

there is a software app called "hotswap" that allows you to control flushing the HD cache on the internal intel based drive controller before drive removal note: not for usb based external drives for those simply turn off the usb cache function in windows
