Hi,
I use HPz620 as my lab system at home. Working good for quite a while now.
I am looking to expand hard disks on that. I currently have 4 SSDs connected. What I would ideally like to do is to still use that as separate devices but also save space so that I can connect more disks on it.
I came across JBOD option and now trying to find out which card could work with my system.
Came across this option but dont know if it will do the job or not. Or if there are any better options out there.

Looking forward to any suggestion for this. Thanks in advance.

the adaptec ASR-71605 card is the best solution i have found, it upgrades the SATA to SATA 6GBps supports SSD'S and all raid modes does true JBOD and can also do JBOD/Raid at the same time uses a supercap instead of a battery, so no worrying about the battery/replacement costs has OS support for all common OS's and the card supports 16 devices
https://storage.microsemi.com/en-us/support/raid/sas_raid/sas-71605/
it sells on ebay for around 50 for one that includes the cache/supercap module
and you can use MALE to MALE sata adapters which allow you to connect to the z620's internal hotswap bays
