Hi:

You need this driver for that device:

Thanks so much Paul.  Now it seems I have another issue.  It is still showing up with a yellow exclamation point  in device manager.  But the error is this.

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

You're very welcome.

I've never run into that problem before.

The driver setup information file shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted as shown by this partial copy and paste.

See if this works:

Right click on the device, and select Uninstall.

Check the uninstall driver box.

Restart the PC and try manually installing the driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

I've zipped up and attached that driver below.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager.

Click on the ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_000C device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way without any complications.

Hi Paul,

I agree, it was a weird one.  Thanks again.  The uninstall/reinstall seemed to do the trick!

Appreciate your help.
