I have a hp z240 tower workstation and I'm making it a gaming pc. my question is what type of motherboard is the hp 802f? like an atx or what exactly as I'm trying to get a gaming case but I don't know what to get because of mb type.

i have both the SFF and tower models, and the motherboard is a HP specific one that is not ATX compatible in some/most respects only the board size is somewhat ATX all other things such as mounting and front IO/power supply are HP model specific. as such mounting this board into a non z240 case is not a simple place board in case and install mounting screws
depending on your skill level it is possible to do so but this is not a beginner's project
you will need tools to drill/tap motherboard mounting hardware,
source a compatible or punch out a rear I/O plate,
buy a 6 pin HP to ATX power adapter specific to the z240
create custom cables for the boards front USB/Sound/power switch/indicator lights
it would take me several hours to do something like this and i know what i'm doing and have the necessary tools and my time (like yours) is worth something as such spending under 40.00 for a barebones z240 tower system would be my choice

sorry i didnt get what you mean im getting this case
Aerocool FALCON ARGB PC MID TOWER CASE + VX PLUS 600 POWER SUPPLY | 2749 EGP
Falcon ARGB - AeroCool
i dont get what you mean with cables i have experience with pcs and shouldn't the power supply include those cables right? also what do you mean its not atx compatible like the screws wont match the one on the case?
try to simplify it for me as I dont understand english very much

i did make it as simple as i could, but your reply indicates you lack the necessary knowledge/skills to do a custom motherboard install
follow my advice. buy a lowend barebones z240 tower (not SFF!!) system and if you have a ATX power supply the HP z240 specific 6 pin to ATX power adapter cable
or better yet look at the HP z420/z440 systems
