HP t620 PLUS
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a HP t620 PLUS.

I have  replaced the initial SSD M.2 Sata by Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe.

The Samsung was not recognized.

I bought this PCie NVMe adapter here

Adwits PCIe x16 to NVMe Adapter

With this passive adapter (no driver) I see the Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe during installation but not in the bios.

I install Windows 10 x64. No problem during install.

But when I boot, I have this message:

"No boot disk detected"

Is there a solution?

Thanks

i believe this thin client system does not support nvme, you need to use a 2.5 SATA interface SSD like the EVO 850

you can however use the PCI-e carrier and a nvme drive as a data drive (non boot drive)

last, the bios will most likely not support booting from a M.2 pci-e carrier board using a SATA ssd like the samsung 950 pro

stay with the 2.5 sata type ssd's
