Hi HP Community,

I recently purchased an HP-branded NVIDIA RTX A4000 graphics card from a third-party seller (eBay), and I’m trying to verify whether this unit is brand new and covered under warranty.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any GPU-related category on HP's public support portal, and the standard serial number warranty check tool doesn’t recognize this component.

Here are the details of the GPU:

- Product: HP-branded NVIDIA RTX A4000
- Serial Number (S/N): CN24401536
- HP Assy No.: M12947-002
- HP Spare No.: N23438-001
- CT Number: PQZPRO1UIHBOGO

I would like to verify:
1. Whether this is a genuine HP GPU product
2. If it carries any HP warranty
3. Whether there's any previous activation or service history

The unit looks clean and came in anti-static packaging, but I want to confirm whether it’s actually unused.

Any guidance from HP staff or the community on how to check this — or which support channel handles OEM/workstation GPU components — would be greatly appreciated.

  • You can also run stress tests such as: MSI Kombustor (my favorite), 3DMark, Unigine Heaven, or FurMark to evaluate thermal behavior and performance consistency.


Packaging & Physical Condition:

 

  • HP typically ships OEM parts in plain brown boxes with a white label showing HP part numbers and barcodes.

  • Anti-static bags are standard, but absence of official HP boxing or documentation makes warranty validation difficult.

one thing that's been overlooked (but mentioned by (NonSequitur)  is that most HP quadro cards were part of a business or workstation/server system and as such in most of these cases the individual parts that make up the system do not have individual  warranties, the parts are covered under the "systems" warranty and this warranty is sometimes not transferable if the original buyer resells the system to someone else

 

some consumer HP systems are also warrantied the same way

 

however HP does sell this video card as a standalone product, so follow NonSequitur's advice and see if HP does cover this card but i suspect it's not under any HP warranty

 

the HP parts number(s) will tell HP if the card is a retail product with a seperate warranty or  if the part is covered under a compute system warranty
