HP Z240
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a Z240 Tower workstation computer. I currently have the Intel Management Engine version 11.8.86.3909 installed.

I ran the Intel Intel Converged Security and Management Engine Version Detection Tool that Intel provides to check for vulnerabilities and it says my firmware is vulnerable.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19392/intel-converged-security-and-management-engin...

Can someone from HP post a link to the latest Intel Management Engine firmware for the HP Z240? Note, there isn't any firmware for it at all on the support page.

Though, I found a link to the version that I'm currently running in another thread. It is ridiculous that it isn't listed on the support page. Especially, considering there several vulnerabilities in it. The least HP could do is put a link to the latest available firmware on the support page. I've been searching for hours for something newer than what I have.

It sure would be great if HP's FTP site were indexed so that you could look for what you need on it without having to know an exact file name also.

Jon

Hi, Jon:

This is a peer to peer forum.

No one from HP is going to post links to drivers here unless a HP employee who volunteers their time does so on their own behalf and not on the behalf of HP.

Please post the hardware ID for the IMEI device your PC has, and I will see if there is a newer driver than what you currently have installed.

Since you know where in the device manager the IMEI is located, use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device:

How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager

I see a IMEI driver version 2313.4.16.0 which supports the following hardware ID's:

sp147819
