We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you encounter a "No Bootable Device Found" error on your HP Windows 10 laptop, this typically means that your laptop is not able to detect a bootable operating system. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and solve this issue:
Check Boot Order in BIOS:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press F10 repeatedly to access the BIOS setup.
- Navigate to the "Boot" tab using the arrow keys.
- Ensure the hard drive with your operating system is set as the primary boot device.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS setup.
Check the Hard Drive Connection:
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect all power sources.
- Open the laptop case following your service manual guidelines.
- Check the connection of the hard drive; make sure it’s securely connected to the motherboard.
Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
- Turn on your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select "System Tests" and then choose "Quick Test" or "Extensive Test" to check the hard drive for issues.
Repair the Boot Configuration:
- Create a Windows 10 installation USB using another computer.
- Insert the USB into your HP laptop and boot from it by pressing Esc on startup and then selecting the USB device from the boot menu.
- Choose your language preferences and click "Next".
- Click "Repair your computer" at the bottom left.
- Select "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Command Prompt".
- In the Command Prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each one:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd - After running these commands, restart your laptop.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
