I have an HP Elitedesk 800 G3 SSF computer (Intel i5 CPU) and am wondering if it supports a Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti GPU. My power supply is too weak and the case is too small, but I plan to use an external PSU (1200W) and a PCI raiser cable. The RTX 5070 Ti should be backwards compatible up to and including PCIe Gen 3.0. Does anyone have experience and can give me advice? Thank you very much.

Best regards

@ViSieber,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Yes, you can use an RTX 50xx graphics card in your HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF.  Consider my HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF upgrade project, in which I installed an external RTX 3080 powered by an external synced ATX power supply: Solved: Upgrading HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF - HP Support Community - 8251218.  Worked very well too: HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

Kind Regards,
