Installing HP My Display appears to take over full control of the monitor brightness and does not allow the buttons on the monitor to function.

Reading https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/800-AIO-Front-pane... appears to suggest that there is a registry key that can fix this, but unfortunately both the links listed appear to be broken.

If anyone knows what this registry entry is, then please could they post a reply. We have tried updated drivers etc. but the ideal solution is that both the software (HP My Display) and the Monitor Buttons could control the brightness (and volume)

Regards

Ben

sp60481 worked for me, maybe give it a go.

the other thing to try is this (I think i did this on the 800 G1)

"cmd.exe /c reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters" /v "Headless" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f"

Hi There,

I am currently in the same boat...

I have a 800 AIO that I changed the registry settings on at work, if you can find the registry key for me I can export it and find the changes I made.

The "Headless" registry key did the trick beautifully. Many thanks
