Good evening,
I recently acquired the noted HP EliteDesk 800 G3 65W system. It came with a 90W power supply. It powered up, booted, shut-down. I got it to power up a couple more times and now I am receiving the 3-long, 4-short beep/error cycle. I noted in the troubleshooting section that this error is related to power issues. I checked the power supply and it is showing a voltage of 19.5V, which seems normal but I know this may be deceiving and could still be an issue.
One other observation: though I have not been able to find any documentation on it is the led on the MB, right by the AC plug flashes on/off and then the led on the MB by the power button comes on and stays.
On a long shot, I also reset the CMOS but that had no affect, I am still getting the same beep errors and absolutely no activity from the fans, etc.
What I would like to verify is that I have the right wattage power supply for this unit as it seems as though the one I have may be under-powering. Trying to find a part number for the power supply and/or by wattage, what this machine actually needs?
