Want to upgrade my old workstation xw4600 with a 550w power supply. But can never boot. Heard that the 24pin on the motherboard is different from normal PCs, can anyone provide the definition of this 24pin? Or where can i find a suitable power supply?

the xw4600 is not ATX compatible, the pinout can be found the the HP xw4600 service manual

you can do a xeon xw3363cpu mod on this system here's a link to a pre modded cpu that does not require the socket to be modded

xw4600 power supplies can be found on ebay
note that ram is also specific to this system it does not use normal ddr3

Hi thanks a lot! Is it possible that there is a ATX-size power supply that support this workstation? Im shifting its motherboard to a new case, and the original one is too large. And those on ebay seems to be the same size as mine. And i cannot find the pin specs on

Could you please help me out? Much appreciated!

in regards to the power pinout.........................it's in the service manual (same as xw6600 as i recall)
only 3 pins are different 2/23 and a 3rd i think, personally i strongly recommend you spend the 20.00 for the correct HP unit
