Problems with Sound Blaster Audigy Fs V2 in HP Z2 G5/G8 SFF
I currently own a HP Z2 G5 SFF Workstation and whilst the integrated Realtek Audio is file, I do enjoy the enhancement that is made by a dedicated sound card. In this regard, I have installed an internal Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2, fitted in one of the PCIe slots. However, for reasons that I do not understand, the output from the card is distorted.
Following extensive changes to the available settings, I discovered that the distorted output is evident at all Bitrates apart from 16 Bit 44100 Hz (which is fine). Moreover, the Distorted output becomes increasingly worse, the higher the Bit Rate.
The same behaviour was evident when the card was installed in the HP Z2 G5 SFF Workstation.
I have disabled the Realtek Audio in the system BIOS and even disconnected the speaker, but to no avail.
Any information or advice would be very welcome
