Hi,

The same situation on three computers WITHOUT rear fan.

After bios update to latest version (02.46 Rev.A) I reciving on every boot error 512-rear chassis fan not detected.

So, the problem is definitely with bios, anybody have similar problem?

My motherboard is being replaces, some time next week. Case closed!

Hi

I've contacted by HP Support yesterday. Was told that they try to avoid Mainboard swap. As an HP Partner, i was asked to send a few information (Build Order, Feature Bytes, screenshoot and Full HW logging).

I suppose, according to their question, that HP support Tool is no longer offering this 2.46 bios Upgrade while it's still on the Website.

I hope they will correct this and provide us a good bios in the next days.

Fortunately, this PC is on site and not sold to one of our customer.

For now HP replace for me two systemboard without any problem. Bios version 2.46 is still available on hp website lol

All my service ticket are not closed and escalated. Version of bios 2.45 is safe and everyone could updates to this version without any problem. The problem is only with version 2.46.

I will wait to end of next week and asked hp what about solution.

Hi BigMaras,

So they decided to give replacement motherboard rather than a free fan! for the BIOS issue.

That's good use of your Carepack!!

Hopefully they'll have version 2.47 up ont he web soon so we can all get passed this silly issue.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

I just have contacted my vendor: the extended care pack was still valid. Next week the motherboard will be replaced. Thanks HP

Same happened with my hp pc, updated bios and now getting the error. Pc is not in warranty anymore, so no help from hp support except at cost for a replacement of the motherboard. When asking for help in setting pressure on a new and correct bios version: not possible :'(

I see that HP removed 2.46 bios from website and left 2.45. I still wainting for information from hp because I have open warranty ticket but I hope that in next days we will see new version of firmware.

Ok, It looks that HP find solutions. The problem was with bad bios file (version 2.46). First HP remove version 2.46 from website and today I saw new version 2.47. HP in this case automaticly closed my warranty ticket. Everything is ok with new file.

Thank you for the update - I hadn't noticed the new BIOS.

I will download it and give it a try.

Kind regards.
