Thanks for your time. I have a similar scenario and just to make sure I have understood you, in one channel (pair of black and white slots) must have exact same type RAMs i.e. a pair of 1Rx4 PC3-14900R RAMs installed. Then in another channel 2Rx4 PC3-14900R RAMs can be installed as pairs? Actually in my HPZ820 workstation presently 32GB (4x8GB) 1Rx4 PC3-14900R RAM is installed in 4 black color sockets of 4 channels and I also bought 32GB (4x8GB) 2Rx4 PC3-14900R RAM. Which I am also planning to install.
