Hi,
I think i posted in the wrong section earlier,
I recently purchased the following Desktop Computer,
i7-2700K
Z210 Workstation
I am not a server pc type person, I am not that good at memory hardware knowledge with all that ECC, nECC, Buffered, Unbuffered.
I don't know about that, I just purchased this PC for normal usage, some games and stuff.
I have this temporarily memory installed 4GB, but i want to completely upgrade it (removing this one), I plan to upgrade to 8GB.
Can someone here assist me with the following questions,
1. Are the normal kingston, corsair RAMs compatible with my PC?
2. If i purchase one kingston 8GB RAM will this PC support 8GB in one slot?
3. Can i add normal corsair/kingston 1600 mhz ram to this pc 4gb x2?
It would be great if someone can help me, I can provide more information about my PC, if you need.

I just confirmed from the software "HWiNFO64" and from some tips on google that the current memory module of 4GB which i am using is
Microntech DDR3-1600 / PC3 -128000 DDR3 SDRAM UDIMM is running on 1.5 volts.
On BIOS it shows 1333Mhz.
Now could you please tell me according to my PC specs, will my pc allow me to use 1 x 8GB UDIMM non ECC RAM in a single slot ?
Why is my clock speed 800, then 665, not 1600 or am i mixing all of this.
My task manager shows me 1600. Bios says 1333.
Your RAM speed appears to be 1600mhz. The fact that it shows as 800mhz in e.g. CPU-Z is normal, since Ram can transfer data twice per cycle which is what memory manufactures use to market their ram i.e. 2x800mhz = 1600mhz.
Not sure why it is showing up as 1333 in bios.

For the i7 you need standard non-ECC unbuffered (not registered) RAM.
Best to go for RAM recommended / certified by HP.
@Ram from Corsair etc. is also an option, just make sure that it acheives it intended speed at standard SPD voltage - e.g. 1600mhz @ 1.5V. SOmething like 1600mhz @1.65V is no good, since AFAIR you cannot set memory voltages / timings in the bios and if used it will work at the default 1.5V with a speed of e.g. 1333mhz.
But check the bios just to be sure that there aren't any memory tuning options - these are not there in case ofthe Z420/620/820 so I doubt you will have them but no harm in having a look.
