HP Z440 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello to all,

I'm about to restore my HP Z440 (T4K79ET) to the factory state.
The 😧 partition is no longer available, since I upgraded to Windows 10, the problem is that the Recovery Manager is not available.
How can I purchase / download a DVD / USB flash drive?
Help me.
Cheers.
Claudio

Ciao a tutti,

Aiutatemi.
Saluti .
Claudio

if the recovery partition has been removed as you have said. then contact HP support about buying a recovery set

you should have made a recovery set before removing the partition.

however if you did not remove the partition but just uninstalled the recovery program during the win  7 to 10 install

you can try reinstalling the recovery program for win 10 by downloading it from the hp web site

What do you know, HP or HP support has this recovery set?

Because I had already tried to call but I was told that the only supports that could give was that of drivers, which are also on the HP site.

You do not know how to recover this recovery set (HP Z440 T4K79ET)?

Thanks so much.

if HP no longer offers the restore disks (you have to call them and check do not use web site)

buy a generic HP windows 7 off ebay, and then slipstream the z440 drivers into the generic image using  "NTlite"

I download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft and create a bootable USB stick with Microsoft Media Creation Tool that installs Windows 10 a couple of minutes. When done, download and install the necessary drivers from www.hp.com .

Thank you very much for all the valuable advice. I hope to be able to find, perhaps thanks to the forum, the recovery kit, because I would like at any time to have the workstation as the first day.

If I can use this forum to ask if I know whether or if I have the z440 recovery kit (T4K79ET) available I would be very grateful.

Thanks again to everyone.

Claudio, i have a Z440 and the recovery disc you are looking for is:

1. Part no: 780725-A21

2. Part no: 739709-B26

Number 1 = Windows 7 Pro 64-bit DVD

Number 2 = Driver Recovery DVD.

I could only find old obselete listings on ebay so i think they can be hard to get.

ithe two disk part numbers you listed are

1. a generic HP win 7 x64 DVD that will install on any HP system

pick any win 7 x64 sp1 disk, it does not matter which system it is for, it will still install/activate on the z440

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2055119.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xhp+windows+7+r...

2. a DVD with the same drivers posted on the HP web site (but older builds)

you can make the same thing as i pointed out by buying a generic HP win 7 x64 disk off ebay

and then either downloading the latest drivers from the hp web site to another disk

or slipstream then into the win 7 image with  "NTlite"

the only thing this method will not do, is recreate a recovery partition on the disk

as that was done by HP at the  factory and is not recreated even with the original factory restore disk

Hello to all,
thank you very much for your valuable advice, unfortunately I wanted to bring back my z440 to the original factory state, including the recovery partition (hp recovery manager) and all the pre-installed hp programs.
Honestly, I expected that hp, even for a fee, would give me the kit I'm looking for, but unfortunately I was told that they do not have it. all this always strange if not impossible. !!
I'll let you know if I could get them.
Thank you so much again to everyone.
