Hello,
we would like to run our HP Z6 G4 Workstation without GPU, just only as a terminal server. Is it possible?
Thank you.

hi
I have a doubt, I don't see a video port on the motherboard here, can you confirm?
so if the question is will it work, if you remove the pci graphics card, then maybe not, it might just beep
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-z6-g4-workstation/16449901/document/c05791619
But try
the main risk is that it will not work and you will have to replace the graphics card for it to start

The archived post HERE includes some info on running a HP workstation "headless" (without monitor attached). I used a very low power fanless PCIe GPU to satisfy the BIOS need to at least see that a GPU was present. Dan, a HP engineer, provided some info on the configuration software. I have no idea if this would work for you, but it might provide a path forward.
