HP Recommended

Hello Community,

I am looking to set up a triple monitor configuration with my HP Envy x360 Convertible,  My laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8550U CPU, 12 GB RAM, and runs on a 64-bit operating system. I intend to extend my display across three monitors to enhance my workspace.

I have gathered that my laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4 for video output. However, I am uncertain about the Multi-Stream Transport (MST) support which is essential for daisy-chaining monitors. I would appreciate any guidance on whether MST is supported and what specific docking station or device I would need to achieve a triple monitor setup.

Here are a few questions I have:

Does my HP Envy x360 support MST over USB-C for daisy-chaining monitors?
What specific docking station or external multi-display adapter would you recommend for achieving a triple monitor setup with my laptop?
Are there any alternative solutions or configurations that would enable a triple monitor setup without MST support?
Would I need any additional cables or adapters, and if so, which ones would you recommend?
If anyone has successfully set up a triple monitor configuration with a similar HP model, could you please share your setup and any challenges you encountered?
I am open to purchasing any necessary hardware to make this setup work and would greatly appreciate recommendations based on personal experiences or technical knowledge.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and looking forward to your insights!

Best Regards,

Chaz Terry
