I have server HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 (Part Number: 671165-425), today morning the power supply failed, the power supply details are:

Regulatory Model No.: HSTNS-PL28

Generic Part No.: 643931-001

Part No.: 643954-201

Spare Part No.: 660184-001

Option Kit No.: 656362-B21

 

I have an old PSU with the following details, can I use it instead until I buy a new one?

Regulatory Model No.: HSTNS-PL14

Generic Part No.: 499249-001

Part No.: 499250-201

Spare Part No.: 511777-001

HP split into two companies a few years ago...HP and HP Enterprise (HPE).

HP supports PC's, printers, tablets and calculators.

HPE supports servers, switches, routers, tape drives.
