I called HP today and described my issue. The support person decided we should uninstall the current Intel ME Components software which the error message was basically indicating. After that we applied the SP99330 and this time the update installed. He applied a couple of other updates and reran Image Assistant. The new Image Assistant relisted one of the two later updates as if it were not applied, however I verified that it was. I have run into Image Assistant problems like this before so I check the HP Driver website for my system to verify what is listed there. One additional thing it now listed was the version for Intel Management and Security Application Local Management (apparently something new installed with the later Intel ME update). The Target Image shows the just installed v1928.12.0.1287. The reference image is v1.31.2019.0714 which is really out of left field. So I do look at some of these Image Assistant updates with a grain of salt which is a shame as it appears to be a nice tool.
